MEET JOSUE BENITEZ

“I started cooking because I loved it, but I also wanted to continue the family’s Recipe traditions.”

Born in Mexico City, MX, Josue Benitez savored every plate of tradition that stretched from the city streets to his grandmother’s pueblo in Guerrero, MX. It was instant love as he took in every detail of his favorite homecooked enchiladas: the color palette of salsas, the array of toppings, and freshness of handmade tortillas.  Josue could identify the grains of bread every time he picked up a fresh order from the corner bakery.

His admiration for food turned to curiosity after moving to Santa Ana, California in 1992. Leading kitchen jobs in various restaurants he noticed that every meal he helped prepare, people enjoyed. As his love for food continued to grow, Josue also found that his love for cooking for his loved ones followed suit. “I started cooking because I loved it, but also wanted to continue the family’s tradition in recipes.”

Tradition helped open doors for Josue in 2012. He found himself at the beginning of a new journey, Josue’s Catering.

With over 10 years of expertise at his craft, Josue’s dedication to serving people is more than a homage to the roots that helped ground his love for food, but a way of life that is led by unwavering fulfillment, passion, and purpose.
